Day after day and night after night they keep on saying,

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty—
the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.”

Whenever the living beings give glory and honor and thanks to the one sitting on the throne (the one who lives forever and ever),the twenty-four elders fall down and worship the one sitting on the throne (the one who lives forever and ever). And they lay their crowns before the throne and say,

“You are worthy, O Lord our God,
to receive glory and honor and power.
For you created all things,
and they exist because you created what you pleased.” REVELATION 4:8-11

I had an amazing conversation with the pastor I am learning from at Creekside church about Jesus as our ultimate and only.
We talked about heaven as being the place we go and can only see Jesus for exactly who He is– our only need, our One Thing, our purpose, the One whom we owe our lives to. Eternity with Him being more JOYFUL than we can at the present time comprehend.
And yet, He already dwells with us, through us, for us, here on the earth.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to worship Jesus at a few different churches with groups of people, friends and strangers alike, worship and sermons filling up most of my day. Jesus, and worshipping Him with others, ministering to others through Him and being ministered to by His Spirit in others, filling up the day.
And every so often the enemy wanted to poke in: You should be doing this, this, and this.
I rebuked the enemy in the name of Jesus, that in fact, worshipping Him was exactly where I needed to be, what I “should” be doing.
And, by His grace, worship is not just singing praise with groups of people.
It’s daily, like picking up the cross and following Him is daily. Equipped by His Spirit, I can say “Thank-you, Lord” in every circumstance. “Thank-you, Lord. I praise You even, ESPECIALLY, when times are tough, when I despair, when I’m confused or scared, because I KNOW You have a plan to redeem Your people– I know this earth is Yours and WILL be filled with Your glory. I know that you keep all Your promises, and I am in love with Your face, Jesus, my Lord, my Advocate, my Best Friend, my Saviour, my Authority.”
May my LIFE, Lord, be submitted to You, to Your Lordship, my days in consistent communication with You, my Redeemer.
