Hey friends.
This is a day-in-the life blog.

Today I woke up enveloped in the presence of the Lord, unfathomably grateful for the way He gives and gives without ever relying on something in return. He desires my relationship because He loves me and knows that this is my purpose; and, BECAUSE of Him, I desire relationship with Him for the glory of His name. Furthermore, stating that “I woke up enveloped in His presence” is a statement that is true to all of us, ALWAYS, and I pray that you become more aware of your Father’s presence each and every day.

After time in the Word, I spent some time organizing my clothes, writing down dance lesson plans, and then began baking brownies to bring to work tomorrow. I’ve tweaked a recipe inspired by Lindsay Landis to make cookie dough brownies, which I will be sharing on the blog tomorrow!
In case you didn’t know, it’s Frappuccino Happy Hour this week at Starbucks, where I work, from 3-6pm. I worked a quick five hour shift today and my manager had the sweet idea of we baristas taking turns bringing in treats for the employees working the busy shifts! Today was my turn, hence the brownies. Screen Shot 2017-05-11 at 1.22.49 AM
Work was great. I truly feel very blessed and called to Starbucks still, loving customer interactions and the friendships I’ve made with wonderful co-workers and regular customers.
At the end of my shift, I got to see my beautiful friend Kaitlyn.
Kaitlyn is one of the most special people in my life. She is like a third sister in my family, we’ve always said. I’ve been dancing with her since I was seven years old, and we have always been drawn to each other and only became closer over the years. Kaitlyn is a truly selfless, non-judgemental, and compassionate person who my sister and I love spending time with. I hadn’t seen for quite some time, so tonight was special!
We went for dinner at a restaurant that had half price chicken wings and so naturally that’s what I ate. It was so nice just to be with Kaitlyn and Krystal.
After our dinner date, I was able to see Johnny for a few hours, and we just Netflixed and enjoyed each other’s company. I love dating my best friend. I thank Jesus for Him and know that our relationship is His every day.
Writing before bed, overwhelmed by my gratefulness for chicken wings, excited about the provision I’ve been given in prayers about where this blog is headed… I don’t know for sure, Lord, but it is all Yours, and may I simply be capacitated by You to heed Your voice. Screen Shot 2017-05-11 at 1.22.49 AM
