Happy Civic Holiday whatever that means! Hope you’re relaxing or enjoying your job and growing closer to the Lord in all aspects. Today I wanted to share my favourite oatmeal recipes. Oatmeal isn’t much of a recipe, I guess, but there are definitely tips and tricks to make it better or worse!

There are three different ways I prepare my oatmeal:

Overnight Oats

Stovetop Oats

Baked Oats

And I believe there is a perfect topping/filling combination for each one of those.

Peanut Butter Banana Overnight Oats in a Jar

2/3 cup quick or rolled oats (Bob’s Red Mill are wonderful for overnight oats)

1/4 cup almond milk, unsweetened

1/4 cup goat’s milk yogurt

1 T whole chia seeds

1 T organic peanut butter

1 banana, half mashed, half coined

1 T pure maple syrup

Combine oats, almond milk, yogurt, mashed banana, and chia seeds in a jar or dish. Mix. Fridge overnight or for at least 3 hours. Before eating, top with the rest of the banana, peanut butter, and maple syrup.

Blueberry Stovetop Oats

1 1/3 cup cold water

2/3 cup quick oats

Dash of salt

2/3 cup blueberries

1 T sunflower seed butter

1 T pure maple syrup

Combine oats and cold water in pot on the stove. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Boil and stir 30 seconds, adding in blueberries; reduce heat. Allow to sit 2 minutes. Top with sunflower seed butter and maple syrup.

Apple Cinnamon Baked Oats

3/4 cup oats

3/4 cup water

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 Apple, chopped

1 T almond butter mixed with 1 T cacao and 2 T water plus 2 tsp sweetener of choice (I use stevia)

Heat oven to 450 degrees. In a bowl, combine oats, water, chopped apple, baking soda and salt. Allow to soak for 10 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden on the outside. Top with cacao almond butter and enjoy!

Blessings for a great day and week friends!

The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.”Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. Welcome! Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to own a blog, and I created this one to inspire others and help myself. I am a passionate twenty something-year old woman with a love of cooking, tap dancing, and meeting new people-- and of course, primarily an intention to die to my human self and seek God with my whole being. I will eat anything with peanut butter and love spontaneity. I aim to live life in submission to what Christ has for me.
