TOP TEN TUESDAY: I Missed Blogging for Two Days (Installment 2/3)
Not writing for a few days has really given me the writing bug. Which is, I mean, cool. Like I actually think it’s awesome! I feel so called to write right now.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. PROVERBS 3:5-6
Leaning on my own understanding, the past few days in prayer and reflection has shown me, looks in many ways like routine. The Lord didn’t create the setup of my blog; I did. I created guidelines for which I might write and from there I pray on and let His Spirit work. But the guidelines? Do they limit?
Yeah, in many ways. Often the Spirit strays from them anyway and the Lord makes me okay and willing… but why are they there in the first place… Is there a comfort that could be rid of in order to make me more willing…
Yesterday, my family and I went to 3. Langdon Hall, the 5-diamond rated restaurant my older sister Krystal works at as a hostess. I didn’t eat anything but had a coffee and man… It was up there with Starbucks coffee…
I felt very blessed by this 4. time with my family. Telling them more about my day with Johnny, about what God has been doing and revealing to me and laughing with them. My relationship with my parents is one that has dwindled in many ways since the development of my anorexia and I pray that through and in SUBMISSION to Christ alone, He will build a new foundation from what has been broken that I can rejoice in– although, I already do and already can.
After coffee, I had plans with Daniella, who, no matter whether it’s been a few hours or a few days since we’ve seen each other, it is always too long. 5. We caught up about everything and I told her all about what God’s been doing in my life and we sat in the Starbucks I work in which was fun, because we’ve gone there together for years before I started working there.
We picked up our friend Emma, having plans to meet with two of our other girlfriend so, both named Nicole. We drove to a little town called Paris in 6. Daniella’s very own CAR that she recently bought herself, for which I am so proud of her, and had dinner at place called Stillwaters. 7. I had a stir fry and asked for it without oil or nuts, but was still blessed by the Lord in eating well and what I wanted.
Dinner was fantastic and 8. catching up with all the girls so relaxing. Afterwards, 9. Emma and her mom graced me by allowing me to stay over at their house so I would be close to work to walk to for my 5am shift. They are incredible women, very generous and compassionate and I had a great time with both Emma and her mom.
A different set-up than my usual Tuesday blog? Yeah. Called to write about my day and 10. Jesus’ work in it? Yeah. That’s all that matters.
