TOP TEN TUESDAY: Deeply Loving Jesus
Psalm. Today I prayed on Psalm 119 for a long time and didn’t want to leave or do anything else. The Psalm is so good, so much glory, so much why should I even get up right now because I’m praising my infinitely good God.
Song. Johnny got me into some rap and I genuinely cannot believe that it is something I want to listen to… but the words and the music, the genuinity is like nothing else. If you haven’t heard Chance’s new album go listen. Of course I’m loving my country too and it’s always my favourite thing to sing to. Krystal and I were laughing this morning at old Kenney Chesney songs.
Book. I’m finishing up the Fifth Wave whilst midway through the second book in CS Lewis’ Out of the Silent Planet series and starting a book Bethany gave me. The Fifth Wave is sort of just for kicks, CS Lewis is extraordinary and hard to put words to and the book Bethany gave me must be good because it’s her favourite of all time ;).
Food. Tomorrow my beautiful friend Haylie is challenging me to a no sweet potato and no oatmeal day of eating, and so I am very blessed by that. Beyond that I’ve been incorporating a bit more lean meat and eggs which I think is really good for my mindset.
Birthday. Laura’s birthday was yesterday and we had such a good time. We went to the Cambridge Mill for dinner and the food was incredible, the atmosphere beautiful and the company the best. Not to mention, a girl I haven’t seen for a while Meganne insisted on paying for my dinner, so that’s my opportunity to take her out for lunch sometime! Love meeting new people. And Laura is incredible, such a beautiful inside and out girl.
Work. I’m frustrated with not working at the moment but finding work is my top priority! I’m heading out with resumes again tomorrow. Especially with my boyfriend working so hard right now, my sister and friends doing the same u want full time work to continue saving for a car. Speaking of, learning to drive is another main priority.
Teaching Dance. My dance job is something Im so so blessed by as its given me invaluable opportunities. I learn from the children I teach and get to teach them, and watching them light up as they push further in their splits, rock a turn, or nail a kick makes me so happy.
Mindset. I feel really at peace. Just livin according to my King, meditating on His precepts, laughing a lot, praying a lot, ready to grow every day.
Food Photography. I feel such a sense of pride in the Spirit in that I feel stronger each day in that my love of food photography is not an obsession nor a distraction but a passion that demonstrates His love in providing us with amazing whole foods. Truly becoming less and less of a negative, consuming thing and more something I just love to do.
Friends. I spent the afternoon with Daniella, who I think shares so much of my personality, sense of humour, morals, views… And yet we are completely different people in so many ways too. But being around her, just in her presence… it’s a best friendship that’s just sort of like yah I got you no matter what, we’re here for each other always. And I can’t explain how blessed I am by her and so many other girlfriends I pray I’m blessed enough to always know!
