TOP TEN TUESDAY: Today’s Little Moments

I had a plan for this blog, but OUR plans don’t always go as GOD plans. So I’m writing about what’s on my spirit and that’s today, because today was pretty simple but busy and maybe boring to hear about but beautifulūüĆě.

Gym with Michelle and Lauren.¬†Michelle is a girl I’ve known from high school for a long time but we’ve recently become so much closer. And her friend Lauren came this morning and we had such a fun workout. It can be difficult for me to work out without getting too obsessive and feeling triggered into¬†not eating, calorie counting, etc.¬†But by God’s grace I have really found a passion rather than an obsession.

Lunch with Cassia. I took Cassia out for late birthday date as part of her gift and we had such a good time as always. She is such a gem and a blessing in my life.

Shopping and Dancing with Laura.¬†Laura asked me to go grocery shopping with her, so we did and it was so fun. I love being with her in every way– she’s such a refreshing person. We shopped and laughed and went to Starbucks and laughed and then she offered to assist my dance class with me and we laughed some more… She’s amazing, and has truly become one of my best friends.

Bible Study.¬†My study this morning was from Exodus Chapter 9. Here’s a verse for thought: “I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.”

Johnny.¬†Johnny picked me up from dance and we looked for new soccer fields for him to play on while listening to the new albums he’s in love with, which never gets old for me and never will. His passion is undeniably of and in and for the Lord and it is beautiful. We went back to his place and had an as always amazing time together. I am truly blessed.

Seeing my sisters. I saw Krystal and Courtney only briefly today, but when I did it was so nice and we just laughed and hung out together.

Food of the Day. Today I had carrots with peanut butter, and a sweet potato with peanut butter. You could say I was happy.

Quote of the Day.¬†“It is a blessing simply to have arms to want to run into when you’ve had a bad day or a good day, as long as the first ones are Jesus’.”

Song of the Day.¬†“I Need a Forest Fire” by James Blake and Bon Iver. It’s one of the songs Johnny showed me, and I knew this was genius the moment I heard it, but it’s been incredible to HEAR it more and more.

Realizations.¬†There are always deeper, new, and more real ways to love. To hurt. To be revealed things by the Lord. To be a friend. To care for each other. These come from expectation of the Lord’s greatest in all situations in that prayer and supplication to Him provides continuous overwhelming love, joy, and rightness. The enemy exists to thwart that joy, to twist our hearts and to spin us into self righteous thinkers often spewing deceit but the Lord is good and faithful and His love only endures Forever and ever… meaning after the planet is gone, the stars burn out, and there is NOTHING physical.

Welcome! Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to own a blog, and I created this one to inspire others and help myself. I am a passionate twenty something-year old woman with a love of cooking, tap dancing, and meeting new people-- and of course, primarily an intention to die to my human self and seek God with my whole being. I will eat anything with peanut butter and love spontaneity. I aim to live life in submission to what Christ has for me. I'm currently studying Christian Theology and English at Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada.
