MOTIVATION MONDAY: Motivated By the Only Purpose

Romans 8:28

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

God is so so good, and today’s motivation comes directly from His Spirit at work in my life today.

I’ve been a little worried lately, random things piling up, and haven’t really talked about them with the people I needed to. The main thing I haven’t done is pray and fully just take loads of time to give all of that to God.

This morning I did. I spent a little bit of time giving Him those worries, and He lead me to praise and worship. Through the Spirit, I chose today to pray all throughout the day, and in doing so HE WORKED. Huh. Funny how the enemy convinces us that we can ever stand on our own, or weave around without prayer. Nope.

For one thing, that one thing we are convinced we need or want may be the exact opposite of what God has for us– and WHAT GOD HAS FOR US like man that’s gonna be exciting and great and we get to be expectant of that– praise Him! For HE is our one thing, and we need to believe that and love Him more wholly.

The enemy convinces us to “try” to fill this void in other ways; to divert our eyes; to remove us from our prayers. But HE is all we will ever need, anything besides Him and His glory is not a “thing” at all, but can even be looked at as figment. Relationship with Him transforms us, but not in the way that we are better ourselves, but that we are only interested in service to Him and abiding by the Spirit and through the Spirit.

Give it to God, and go to sleep! He’s got it.
