MOTIVATION MONDAY: Who Am I Giving My Time To?

HAPPY MONDAY, and Merry Christmas guys!

How are you all? Praying everyone is feeling refreshed, renewed, and warmed by the Spirit. Today I wanna talk about time, our time, the way it’s given out.

“You must love the LORD with all your heart and all your soul” –Luke 10:27.

First and foremost and as everything, we must love God first, and put Him first– and in all things. This is really it, and Luke 10:27 speaks for what we must strive for each and every moment.

“But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” –1 Timothy 5:8

This sort of love for God translates to an unconditional love for our family and relatives. Loving our neighbours as ourselves requires special love for our families. Wishing to see the fulfillment of Christ in them, and caring for them.

“For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: you shall love your neighbour as yourself.” –Galatians 5:14

All people– we are called to love all people. That’s the fulfillment of God’s law, after our love for Him. We must let the Spirit into us, flowing through all that we do to accomplish these things.

In this way, there are certain things and people we have to be very careful about giving our time to. Even good things can become idols in our lives, passions that take us away from God or become so all-consuming. With God, all we feel is love because love is all there is. Our purpose is to glorify Him in all that we do, so let us grow into that fullness each day.

What are your idols? What is distracting you from what your Spirit knows you should be giving your time to?

Had a glorious day at work, and then with a beautiful blessing of one of my best friends Haylie, and now tonight at the movies with Daniella, Michael, and Ryan. Drink tea, get your rest, and love yourself, too.

Welcome! Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to own a blog, and I created this one to inspire others and help myself. I am a passionate twenty something-year old woman with a love of cooking, tap dancing, and meeting new people-- and of course, primarily an intention to die to my human self and seek God with my whole being. I will eat anything with peanut butter and love spontaneity. I aim to live life in submission to what Christ has for me. I'm currently studying Christian Theology and English at Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada.
