WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY: Honouring Cravings and Denying Food Rules
Hey There! Welcome to cassiescookery and to another WIAW.
Breakfast. Today was busy but great. I woke up at 7 and enjoyed an old episode of greys anatomy with breakfast, which was my beloved cereal, almond milk, peanut butter, banana, and blueberry combo.
Lunch. I got all ready for work after answering some emails and headed in for 9 am. It was a generally slow day, but I’m the only hostess on weekdays so I’m running around no matter what. I worked a solid 6 hour shift, downing tons of coffee as usual and found time to eat a whole wheat English muffin (!!!!) at around noon. At the end of my shift I had oatmeal and berries.
Snack. I bussed home after my shift and finished up some things for all the birthdays I have this month! My best friend’s is tomorrow ahhhh!! Too exciting. I snacked on a little leftover turkey and celery sticks with peanut butter.
Dinner. Remember Dinner of the Month Club? That happened tonight, and Daniella, Insia and I went to a reeeeally fancy restaurant called Proof. I had a green salad with chicken breast. It was definitely Ed’s decision, but I had been a little anxious about the dinner for some reason. Nevertheless we had an amazing time as always and chatted neverendingly. Daniella and I are doing a partner costume for Halloween and need ideas!
Snack. I came home at around 11 quite hungry, and made a biiig bowl of oats with blueberries, cacao, and peanut butter, because that was truly all that sounded good. Afterward I made and drank a smoothie with peanut butter, coconut milk, and berries.
Ed is not happy with me today. While I know this intake isn’t as high as it should be, I defied Ed in a lot of other ways today. My macros were all over the place; I ate and random times, “grazing,” which makes Ed angry; I worked really hard against him. I also realized how much I was craving peanut butter and am proud of myself for honoring that. I hope for these posts on Wednesdays to continue to grow more and more positive.
